On October 24, 2017, Antoine “Fats” Domino Jr. died aged 89. He was musician (piano), singer and song-writer, regarded as one of the Rock and Roll pioneers and most important artists in the popularization of the early rock and roll. He had 11 top 10 hits between 1955 and 1960, and 35 records in the U.S. Billboard Top 40. His best known songs are “Ain’t That a Shame” and “Blueberry Hill”, and he has sold more than 65 million records worldwide. Fats Domino was one the first musicians inducted in the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame”.

Charlie Parker
On March 12, 1955, Charles Parker, Jr. died aged 35. He was musician (alt and tenor saxophone) and composer, regarded the leading figure in the development of bebop and inventor of revolutionary harmonic ideas including rapid passing chords, new variants of altered chords and chord substitutions, “Yardbird” or “Bird” gained the status of one of the most influential and important musicians in the history of jazz. Parker became an icon for the hipster subculture and the Beat Generation, personifying the jazz musician as an uncompromising artist and intellectual rather than just an entertainer.
Bill Haley
On February 9, 1981, Bill Haley died aged 56. He was musician (guitar), singer and songwriter, known as the first “Rock ‘n’ Roll” star, in 1955 he scored UK and US No.1 single “Rock around the clock”. During his career he had sold over 60 million records worldwide.
