Hotel California

On December 8, 1976, “Asylum” label released “Hotel California”, the fifth Eagles studio album. It was recorded March – October 1976, at the “Criteria Studios”, in Miami and “Record Plant Studios”, in Los Angeles, and was produced by Bill Szymczyk. “Hotel California” was the last album with bassist Randy Meisner, the first one without the guitarists Bernie Leadon and first album with guitarist Joe Walsh.  The album won two “Grammy Awards” for the songs “New Kid in Town” and for “Hotel California” and sold in more than 15 million copies in the U.S. and in more than 30 million copies worldwide, becoming the band’s most successful album. The album topped the charts and won the band two Grammy Awards for “Hotel California” and “New Kid in Town”. Magazine “Rolling Stone” ranked “Hotel California” at number 37 on it‍ ’​‍s list of “The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time”, and ranked the song “Hotel California” at number 49 on it’s list of “The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time”.
