In November 1965, “Verve” label released “Smokin’ at the Half Note”, album by Wes Montgomery and the Wynton Kelly Trio (the 14^th Wes Montgomery album overall). It was recorded in June 1965 at the “Half Note Club” in New York City and September 1965 at “Van Gelder Studios” in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, and was produced by Creed Taylor.
