
In October 1960, “Vanguard” label released the self-titled, debut Joan Baez album. It was recorded in July 1960, at “Manhattan Towers Hotel Ballroom” in New York City, and was produced by Maynard Solomon. In 2015, the album was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant” by the “Library of Congress” and selected for inclusion in the “National Recording Registry”.
