On August 31, 2004, “Verve” label released “Land of the Sun”, the 17^th Charlie Haden album. It was recorded in December 2003 and was produced by Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Ruth Cameron. In 2005, “Land of the Sun” won Haden the “Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album”.
